The day when people don’t want to dress pretty but spooky and don’t want to decorate their homes with pretty lighting but those dark spiders, the day when people want a scary vibe all around instead of peaceful vibes, is known as Halloween. It was believed that on that day, the souls of the dead returned to their homes, so people dressed in costumes and lit bonfires to ward off spirits.

This is a very unique festival that is followed all over the world. Worldwide, this festival is celebrated on the 31st of October. Halloween has many traditions that follow its name, few famous ones that are known to everyone are:

  • Paint or carve pumpkins.
  • Host a game night.
  • Hand out candy to trick-or-treaters.
  • Throw a costume fashion show.
  •  Decorate Halloween-themed cookies and cupcakes.
  • Make s’mores.
  • Mix up some Halloween cocktails.
  •  Host a wine and candy-tasting party.

On this note, Premier International IB Continuum School organized a Halloween Party for middle school students.

This event took place in the Senior High School building. The ‘Horror Room’ was organized inside the auditorium and the stalls were organized in the lobby. The ‘Horror Room’ was coordinated by Ms. Mireille Mouad, and the stalls were looked after by the Senior High School students. The students could explore various food stalls, accessory stalls, and craft (poster) stalls. As this was an after-school program, students could be with their friends and enjoy this new experience.

All in all, this was a great new experience that was well executed and that can surely be followed in the upcoming years.
