Covid -19 has had effects on students across the globe, making them spend months inside their homes and unable to partake in physical activities with their peers. Premier International School organized its first Premier Sports Camp for all the students from the Early Years to Senior High School. The most anticipated and exhilarating two days sports camp was held on the school premises from 23rd to 24th December 2021. The camp was an opportunity for students to participate and enjoy their most preferred sport with amazing coaches present to assist the students.
The primary purpose of the sports camp was to refresh students and enable them to engage in different sports activities. Students have been compelled to online learning for over a year due to the pandemic, causing them not to be physically fit and also influencing them in unhealthy ways. All students and teachers were encouraged to participate in the sports camp and they were pleased and enthusiastic to participate. The sports activities include football, basketball, table tennis, wushu, cricket, and PE activities. The schedule commenced with the kindergarten and grade 1 students who engaged in PE activities with the coaches, while the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Senior High students had the chance to partake in sports activities such as PE, football, basketball, Table tennis, wushu, and cricket.
The successful two days sports camp gave students great satisfaction and pleasure before moving into their winter vacations, with heartwarming responses from the students. This two-day event came to its official closure with a closing ceremony awarding all the coaches a token of love for their time and support towards the event.
